Track On my knees debuted in this week’s singles ranking at No. 43. Rüfüs Du Sol was previously No. 1 with albums Atlas in 2013 and flowering in 2016. Abandonment becomes the 14th Australian album No. 1 on the ARIA charts in 2021.

Elton john releases his highest debut album ARIA in nearly 30 years as he reaches second place with the collaborations project Containment sessions. Released in April 1991, the album debuted at # 3 before peaking at # 2 the following week. It was then accredited Gold. All for one includes singles Better stop the world, and Shine on.
Synth-pop veterans Duran Duran come off their highest debut in over 35 years, reaching 16th place with Future Past. The sequel to 2015 Paper gods is the band’s 15th studio album and includes collaborations with Fall out‘s Graham Coxon, David Bowie pianist Mike Garsonjapanese group Chai, plus the producers Mark Ronson, Erol Alkan, and Giorgio Moroder. Duran Duran hasn’t appeared as high on the ARIA album chart since the live album’s release Arena, which reached 8th place in December 1984.
After being reissued on vinyl, the years 2005 B-sides and rarities (Part II) through Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds debuted in the album charts at 38th place.
Also debuting on the album list this week are Radical through Every time I die at # 23, Breaking hearts through Hayley jensen at # 25, Sympathy for life through Parquet floors at # 26, A view from the top of the world through Dream Theater at # 42, and What a song can do by Lady A at # 48.
