Rolling Stones 40th Anniversary ‘Tattoo You’ Reissue Hits In Stores Today – Everett Post

The rolling stones‘expanded 40th anniversary version from their 1981 chart-topping album Tattoo You got its Release today.

The reissue, available in several formats and configurations, includes nine unreleased tracks from this period.

All versions of the Tattoo You reissue feature a new remastered version of the original 11 track album, which includes hits and gems such as “Start Me Up”, “Waiting on a Friend”, “Hang Fire”, “Little T&A” and “Neighbors.”

The Super Deluxe Edition is available as a four-CD or five-LP vinyl box set. It includes all nine unreleased tracks collected on one CD or two LPs under the title Lost & Found, as well as a two-disc live collection called Still Life: Wembley Stadium 1982, featuring a 26-song performance by the Stones at the famous London venue. . .

Lost & Found presents covers from the 1970s Chi-Lites air “Troubles a ‘Comin,” on 1963 Jimmy reed song “Shame, Shame, Shame”, and Gray Dobie“Drift Away”, the 1973 hit ballad of “Drift Away”, as well as a reggae interpretation of “Start Me Up”. The tracks have been enhanced with newly added vocals and guitars.

Still Life: Wembley Stadium 1982 was recorded in June of that year during the Tattoo You tour, and features performances of various Stones classics, covers selected as Eddie Cochran‘s “Twenty Flight Rock” and The big bopper‘s “Chantilly Lace” and several songs from Tattoo You.

The boxes also come with a 124-page book containing hundreds of 200 rare photos, interviews and more.

Along with the arrival of the Tattoo You reissue, a new video trailer of the collection premiered at The Stones’ Youtube channel.

Meanwhile, the Stones continue their 2021 american tour with a concert this Sunday in Minneapolis.
