Moo Music Moray will open a new center for children and families in Elgin

POPULAR children’s activity group Moo Music Moray is set to launch a new kids and family center this week.

The sensory capsule is one of the new sensory equipment offered at the Fika Child and Family Center.

The company has partnered with a range of other family-friendly organizations to create the new activity space.

The new centre, named Fika, will be based at the Kaizen School of Kickboxing in Elgin and will offer a range of classes and activities for young children and their families.

Moo Music Moray staff member said, “The name fee-ka is a Swedish custom for taking a coffee break. Our new nurturing space brings the concept of Fika to Moray.

“We launched moo music lessons in 2017 due to a lack of interactive, multi-sensory music lessons for parents and children aged 0-5 in Moray.

“The pandemic has shown us the importance of our well-being and the well-being of our children and there was a need to create a safe place for children and families to come together. This is where the idea for the Fika Child and Family Center came from.

The center will have lots of new sensory equipment for the enjoyment of children, including a new sensory capsule, inflatables and soft games, and will offer a range of classes suitable for families.

Alongside Moo Music sessions, the center will also offer pregnancy and baby yoga classes from Yogabellies, Mum and Mini Fitness where parents can exercise while their children play and tea and play sessions. where children can play while parents relax and chat.

The Moo Music team member continued, “We are grateful to be partnering with Kaizen School of Kickboxing, Yogabellies Moray, Mum and Mini Fitness and offering Moo Music sessions with new sensory equipment, inflatables and soft games in the new center.

“The new Child and Family Center is a space to enjoy the finer things in life, high quality child and family sessions, being social and having coffee and cake with friends.

“We are passionate about providing classes that are inclusive for everyone and we are very excited about creating a place of calm and community for children and families to learn and grow. together.”

The Fika Child and Family Center will open its doors on Sunday June 5th and is hosting an open day from 10am to 4pm at its new premises at 4 South College St Elgin.
