DEPARTURE Festival in Playa Del Carmen announces the programming of phase 2



Pollen Presents, The Brooklyn Mirage and The Cityfox Experience team up for the first time to present DEPARTURE, a five days and nights travel experience in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, January 6-11, 2022. Showcasing a personalized mirage and two other unique stages, this creative innovation will host performances from the biggest international names in electronic music, as well as a fully immersive production created by the team behind the beloved New York venue. DEPARTURE’s Phase Two lineup adds even more global talent to an already strong lineup, with highly anticipated performances from the Berlin-based South Korean dance icon Peggy Gou, American techno number Maceo Plex, Swedish producer and founder of Drumcode Records Adam beyer, seasoned German artist Sven Väth, and legendary Iranian-American house and techno DJ and producer Dubfire among the highlights. Brooklyn Mirage, Cityfox, and Pollen Presents production credentials do not need to be featured; while fans heading to Playa del Carmen in January can expect to experience a newly designed Mirage in sunny Riviera Maya. This location, along with two additional new construction spaces, will be custom designed and built for DEPARTURE participants, making it a unique and exclusive experience for all participants.

Throughout the five mystical days of DEPARTURE, participants will be treated to more than 12 hours of marathon musical madness on five stages. Viewers will be mesmerized and speechless as they spend their days and nights grooving in front of rare pairs of underground purveyors, experiencing truly unique moments that will last a lifetime. There are endless possibilities for musical magic and unique stage collaborations.

All of this will take place at a series of luxury hotels, including The Grand Hyatt, The Thompson, The Hilton, Panama Jack and Yucatan Resort, all of which will serve gourmet food and drinks. The unique experience eschews the larger crowds for something much more intimate, combining the stress-free environment of high-end travel with the thrill and adventure of a one-of-a-kind festival.

Participants will be escorted from their hotels to the exquisite locations of DEPARTURE, which will be completely closed to the public for ultimate privacy.
