Boulder pop-up music store for fire victims will be at Macky’s Auditorium – Greeley Tribune

After accumulating nearly 400 donated instruments, the Future Arts Foundation will host a pop-up instrument shop for people recovering from the Marshall Fire, at the Macky Auditorium on the CU Boulder campus.

the purpose of the association is to help replace instruments that were lost in the fire, which destroyed more than 1,000 homes. The pop-up shop will take place from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 5 at the auditorium, 1595 Pleasant St. in Boulder, according to a press release from the Future Arts Foundation.

The non-profit organization, which supports arts programs for young people and organizes musical events, said anyone who lost an instrument or instruments in the fire will be invited to attend this event and recover some new instruments. Those wishing to attend should email [email protected] to inquire about an invitation, the statement said. The Future Arts Foundation will donate some of the collected instruments to the Boulder Valley School District on Monday.

The non-profit organization is seeking financial donations to help acquire more instruments and pay for repairs. People can make a tax-deductible donation to fafcolorado.org/donate. Donations over $100 will receive two tickets to the Bluebird Music Festival, which runs April 23-24 and features The Decemberists’ Colin Meloy, Margo Price, Waxahatchee, The Lone Bellow and Langhorne Slim, to name a few. name a few.
