Today, Smith remains a contemporary influence but hails from a past that is pure vintage gold. One of the most influential figures in punk rock and beyond, songs like “Because The Night” and “Horses” have been staples for the many artists who have followed her.

The project by French-Korean artist Claire Chicha, based in Los Angeles, has carved out a place for itself in the landscape of post-pop/alt-pop angst where pink glasses meet an apathetic tint. She’s been making waves since the release of her debut EP bonny. Singing in English and occasionally French, the spill tab creates layers of complexity in his music, capturing moods and moving them with careful prowess. With the release of their latest single “Splinter” and previous single “Sunburn”, it’s clear that Spill Tab is gearing up for something pretty awesome. Alejandro Aranda, better known by his stage name, scarypoolparty is a talented voice of this generation. The former American Idol finalist seems to draw from every source of inspiration he can find, fusing an eclectic but carefully tailored array of genres from rap and hip hop to classical music and music into “Los Angeles.” R&B. His ear for good writing compresses all of these styles into something you can’t quite describe, but definitely feel. His decisive yet distant delivery, deep voice, and gender spread have a Brother Ali-like spirit, but the background to these elements is a collage of Aranda’s own creation.

Tickets are priced at $29 + service charge.
